

When I make sculptures I tend to put wood in a sturdy template I’ve made and tighten it into a wavelike form, I call these things earthquakes. When I take photos I tend to throw and spin my camera in the air (with care and feeling) to capture the curiosities and rhythms all around us. They’re both raw energy and represent sooooo much more, but I won’t get into that here. -Kai Vierstra, 2012
