There’s been a lot of construction on our block in Williamsburg. This wall of blue and black plywood was right outside my studio so one Sunday morning I took my black paint and brushes and made a flap jack painting somewhat like the ones I’d been making in oil paint in my studio only this one was large and very public. A week or so later the fence was disassembled, shuffled and then eventually tossed out. I traded the oil painting with Judith Linhares for one of her great colorful gouaches. -Katherine Bradford, 2012
Two really good yummy paintings, I could see where the street image would further inspire future paintings too. What a great series Kathy.
How great to see these paintings instead of a dull construction wall. they are delicious; are you serving coffee with them, too?
That is so great!! Making me hungry for art!!!
